Coming home from the hospital. The insert is bigger than she is!
I know you've seen this before.... but I love it and it is the night before I had Aspen. Ok so I am very grateful that we were FINALLY pregnant and that Dave had been excepted into the dental program, BUT seriously it was so hard leaving at 8months pregnant to drive across the country, find a new doctor, move into a home that I had NEVER seen before and have the worry of my child measuring 2 weeks behind. Oh and my husband starting Dental school the same week as my due date!!!! Seriously I was a little concerned. Well, it turned out the drive was not as bad as I thought it would be, found a doctor who would have been great if she hadn't have had family issues & sending me to her other co-worker three days before I was due. It wouldn't have been so bad except Aspen was still measuring 2 weeks behind so (lucky me, seriously it was so cool) I was being monitored & having ultra sounds every two weeks. First her heart beat dropped then my fluid (what ever it is called having a brain cramp at the moment) was lower than it should be so she wanted to induce me like three times and then pretty much blew me off I was a little scared. Then she sent me to her other doctor after her family issue where he told me he would not induce me because I was progressing and was concerned and did not want to end up doing a C section. So..... I will have to continue this later is you care because little precious has just woken up! Sorry
Starting the inducement.... man I needed to go potty like ever 2 seconds. Darn drip! 
Just hanging out with the contractions starting. Family calling to get updates thank goodness they kept my mind off of it.
Our baby girl arrives 11:56p.m. on her due date August 24th. Only 6 hrs of natural labor (not by choice) THANK GOODNESS it wasn't too long!!

We ESPECIALLY so grateful to our HEAVENLY FATHER for blessing us with this special little GIRL! I can't imagine my life without her, she is my little buddy and she is the best darn kid. She is so patient funny, & so loving we can't get enough of her.

Oh friend!! So crazy she is one!! Loved the blog and We just love you guys and your dear little Aspen. We are so glad to be sharing this adventure. I love that Grant and Aspen are friends!!
Ahhhhhhhhhhh...I've become such a sap when it comes to babies since I had Lucy. I wanted to cry while reading this post. You guys are so cute! I'm so happy you have little Aspen and I'm a little, or a lot heart broken I didn't get to see her this time around AGAIN. Hopefully next time we'll have better luck. On another note, I CAN NOT believe you moved right before having Aspen, having to change docs and everything. I felt sorry for myself because we moved 40 miles North-but you win.
We were sad to not be there for the party, sad we weren't there for her birth either, not like there but you know around. Anyhow, yes I did find some cute baby clothes, hope they work for him and he doesn't come out a giant, otherwise, some of them wont fit! I would say when you come down, we should go shopping, but I probably wont be in the mood, or able to walk at that point. Maybe he will come early and then we can really play.
She seriously was such a beautiful newborn! Crazy that she is a year now. We wish we could have been there for her birthday. Maybe next year.

Aspen was such pretty newborn! Happy Birthday! Your pics at Albion Basin made me miss UT so so much. I have so many good memories up there. Sounds like you do too.

First off, you were gorgeous 9 months pregnant...love the hospital gown, way cuter than IHC's! Cute Aspen, what a darling baby too and LOVe the cupcake cake...did you make that? Awesome!
Abby your little girl is so cute. It is fun to see you pregnant. How crazy all of us vball girls have kids now and have to act somewhat grown up.
