Very sad, glad to see you posting. I am obviously going to have to help you out with the blog when we come up, so I can see some pictures!

Prayers and love to Alex and his family, Garrets wife and her family, as well as all their friends!

I talked to Deb this morning. She said Garrett's avalanche beacon got swept off him and was 400 yards down the hill, hence it took 20 minutes to find him. He had a strap sticking on top of the snow, which was how they located him, but he was upside down. They did resusitate him, but he had had no oxygen to his brain. She said she was thankful for all the blessings they are experiencing and feel they all now have a guardian angel. We are all so sad for their family's great loss.

Sierra and I taught the YSA Sunday School class in Garrett's ward and taught Garrett right after he came home from his mission. The kid is / was a stud and we're both super sad to have heard about this. It's heartbreaking how something you love so much can also bring so much pain.

Accidents like these cut deep. Even though Garrett was more of an acquaintance, we feel for the loss to his freinds and family, especially his wife, Molly.
